I was just curious, what kind of greens to you feed your goldfish?

I know that they will eat broccoli and spinach, but has anyone given them things like kale and watercress?

Are there any greens that they shouldn't eat?

Seaweed is good too. This is the only true "green" that I feed to my fish outside of all the algae they eat from their pond. Broccoli can cause gas and isn't great for them IMO.

Just about all vegetables that have been blanched can be fed to Goldfish with the exception of avocados. You can also feed fruit in small amounts with the exception of apples.

Salad lettuce is not good for fish.

Good luck and happy fishkeeping, Jim.

I feed duckweed twice a week. Easy to grow and they love it.

Great suggestions :D My two comets love peas and my larger fish loves duckweed (smaller one eats it but isn't as crazy for it). For whatever reason, Pico seems to be afraid of spinach (and seaweed wafers). I'm thinking of trying it in a gel food to see if he likes it that way. He does however scrape the algae off the windows like a pleco.

Just to add to my own post here, as I wrote it in a bit of a rush.

Lettuce, Zucchini, Carrots, Apples, Grapes, Garlic, Orange slices, Rice, Broccoli (as already mentioned above), Corn, Beans, even Squash. The list would probably be shorter for what not to feed them, hahaha!
